The threat of child trafficking ignites a particularly painful fear in parents, guardians, and caregivers. Rather than feeling helpless and afraid, there is power in knowledge.
This one-hour training equips parents, guardians, caregivers, and community stakeholders with critical knowledge to safeguard children in today’s digital landscape. With traffickers and predators increasingly leveraging technology, this presentation highlights the rising risks of child trafficking, sextortion, and internet crimes against children.
In this training you will learn:
Victims of child trafficking are attending school in rural communities as well as urban and suburban neighborhoods throughout our nation. As an educator, or other professional working with children, you play a critical role in the fight against this tragic crime.
Human trafficking is the fastest-growing criminal enterprise in the world and a very real threat to our youth. This training equips school personnel and youth-serving professionals with the knowledge and tools to prevent, identify, and report human trafficking. PPOC is a Texas Education Agency approved CPE provider
Participants gain a comprehensive understanding of what human trafficking is, how it affects students, and the risk factors and vulnerabilities that make them targets.

Trafficking impacts children of every age, race, and economic status. The more we can arm the community with information for preventing child trafficking, the better we can fight a crime that relies on secrecy and thrives in the shadows of fear, shame, and desperation.

Our goal is to engage, educate, and empower youth across the country. In addition to the outreach of our student-led Youth Action Boards, this one-hour presentation unpacks what human trafficking is and what students need to know to keep themselves and their friends safe.
Rather than a fear-based approach, this presentation takes an empowering tone using age-appropriate, research-based, trauma-informed, and survivor-informed information. The experience is interactive. We don’t just talk at or to youth, but with them.
