Anti-Human Trafficking

Youth Action Boards

We believe in the unique voice that middle and high school students can contribute to today’s issues, especially those that threaten their own futures. Our Youth Action Boards are student-led clubs that play a critical role in preventing child trafficking. Members are provided all the free training and education materials they need for planning events and creating projects that arm them, their peers and the whole school community with the power of knowledge.

Let’s get started!

Guidance of a trained adult

School Campus Sponsors

Each Youth Action Board must have an adult campus sponsor to facilitate training of student club members, provide guidance for student-led awareness events, and serve as a liaison with school administration for approval of all student initiatives.

The only experience a sponsor needs is the drive to end child trafficking. We will train you on our age-appropriate and trauma-informed program for helping students recognize grooming, understand the role of technology and social media in child trafficking, and appropriate methods for reporting incidents.

Though staff who serve as campus sponsors of Youth Action Boards regularly express how rewarding the experience is for them, we don’t take their time or professional guidance for granted. That’s why Project Protect Our Children provides its School Campus Sponsors with an annual stipend in return for their essential involvement.

Community Partners

If you are a youth-serving organization that sees the power and potential our youth possess and is interested in empowering students to use their passion, skills, and influence as part of the solution to ending child trafficking, Protect Our Children would like to talk about partnering with you as a Youth Action Board Advisor. We want to leverage the relationships you already have within the communities you serve to help grow the youth-driven anti-trafficking movement and turn the tide.

Our ready-to-implement student-club approach to preventing trafficking can be an important addition to the programs you offer. All age-appropriate, research-based materials are provided for free. The only commitment it requires from your organization is an adult facilitator that we will train, and the drive to end this tragic crime.
