The number of children trafficked into commercial sex and forced labor in the United States is estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands. It’s a tragic problem that may seem impossible to solve. Thankfully, there is power in knowledge.
Project Protect Our Children is the nation’s first nonprofit to organize middle and high school student clubs that Engage, Educate, and Empower the very youth traffickers target. Our free training and education materials provide students, educators, parents, and employers what they need to prevent child trafficking before it happens.

Trafficking impacts children of every race, age and economic status. Victims attend school and live in rural communities as well as urban and suburban neighborhoods.
Rarely does trafficking involve someone being kidnapped off the street by a stranger. In fact, 99% of victims knew their trafficker in advance, some even being members of their own family.
While each story is different, what they have in common is a child tragically robbed of their innocence and left with an uncertain future.
We are dedicated to preventing child sex trafficking, exploitation, and abuse through proactive community engagement, preventive educational programs, awareness, and empowerment opportunities.
We strive to provide our programs and presentations at no charge. Knowledge spreads awareness. Awareness is key to prevention and identification. Every trafficking victim has the right to be seen. It is our goal to engage, educate, and empower every person to collaboratively embrace being a part of the solution to combat child sex trafficking, exploitation, and abuse.

We believe that education is the key. Education builds knowledge, with knowledge comes awareness. Awareness is vital to prevention and identification.
